DESCRIPTION:Professor Peter Mortimer is known through out the world as a leading expert on lymphatic diseases including lipoedema. Throughout his career he has led research and innovation in the lymphatic field. In the UK he was responsible for raising awareness of Lipoedema\, and personally responsible for diagnosing many of the patients who took part in Lipoedema UK’s Big Survey 2012. \n\n\n\nHis work at St Georges Hospital led directly to the creation of Lipoedema UK and we are indebted to him for his continuing support. St Georges Lymphoedema Team\, now led by Dr Kristiana Gordon and including Prof Pia Ostergaard\, continue to be the leading research institute researching into the genetic causes of lipoedema.  \n\n\n\nWith his many years of experience and as Patron of Lipoedema UK\, Professor Mortimer has an unrivalled overview of lipoedema and welcomes a wide range of questions on research\, diagnosis\, and treatments.
