Hormones, Lipoedema and weight management

Dr Anjali Zalin is an experienced clinician with a specialist interest in obesity management. She was awarded a 1st class degree and Harvey prize for outstanding academic achievement from Queen Mary and Westfield, University of London before completing her clinical training at Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry. Specialist training in Diabetes, Endocrinology and Medicine was obtained in the North East and North West Thames regions and included quality improvement experience with NIHR CLAHRC Northwest London. She was awarded a PhD by Imperial College London for research focusing on metabolic profiling and stress hyperglycaemia. Dr Zalin currently works as a Bariatric Physician and Clinical Lead for the Luton and Dunstable Tier 3 service and Research Fellow at the University of Bedfordshire. Her clinical and research interests include personalised care, cross-speciality pathways and digital innovation. Dr Zalin works with the Association for Study of Obesity Partnerships Lead (previous partnership lead and co-opted Trustee) and is an Honorary Lecturer at William Harvey Research Institute, Queen Mary and Westfield, University of London.
