eLearning Course for Medical Professionals
The Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP) offers an online course on Lipoedema that is a useful resource designed to educate GPs and primary healthcare professionals, GP Specialty Trainees and GP Educators.
Lipoedema UK’s Big Survey 2014 revealed that only 5% of women completing the survey had been diagnosed by their GP.
This statistic prompted Lipoedema UK to work in partnership with the Royal College of General Practitioners (the RCGP) to create an eLearning course on the condition.
RCGP Learning offers a variety of eLearning courses aimed at GPs and primary healthcare professionals, GP Speciality Trainees and GP Educators, but the course on Lipoedema is available to everyone online.
Free to members of the RCGP, it costs £25 to non-members, who can enrol online.
Edited by Dr Dirk Pilat, the eLearning course on Lipoedema includes contributions from Professor Peter Mortimer, Dr Sarah Pledger, Suzanne Evans, Sharie Fetzer, and Nurse Consultants Chris Wise and Denise Hardy. It has been endorsed by the Royal College of Nursing.
